Robin Meczes is a freelance sub-editor specialising in road transport and logistics. A former Executive Editor of Commercial Motor magazine, he has contributed to many of the industry's leading publications including Commercial Motor, Motor Transport, Freight, Truck & Driver, Roadway, Logistics Manager, HeavyTorque and Bulk & Tipper, as well as supplements on transport and logistics published in The Daily Telegraph and The Independent.

I grew up in a family transport business and have worked in the industry all of my life. Spending time driving, in the workshop and traffic office. I also spent 11 years selling trucks and have worked as a freelance journalist for almost 35 years. I write for HeavyTorque, Bulk and Tipper and On Scene, along with Commercial Motor, Truck and Driver, along with some other specialist publications regularly. I still drive trucks for a couple of local operators when time allows.

Taking charge of all our online content, advertising sales and our social media channels, Shell joins the team with over twenty years’ experience in the marketing industry. Ten of these years have been spent in the heavy transport sector, working for one of the UK’s largest hauliers, overseas operators and the HTA. When she’s not engrossed in the world of transport, she can be found entertaining her daughter Matilda, cooking up a storm or wandering up the many hills of West Yorkshire.

Hi I’m Mark and been working with Nimble for many years and love the commissions received as every one of their stories are so interesting (gosh knows how Andy gets this spot on) - from laying in the mud with the Tippers, hanging off the rotator on the Wreckers to belting up the M1 in my Ford Focus with the Heavies. I've been photographing the Road Transport Industry for 25 years now where I’m quite well known to drive a 44T into some pretty precarious locations to get the job done – Oh and I don’t do weddings!!

Dougie has been driving trucks and writing about them since 2011. A former editor of Total Vauxhall magazine, he was editor of Truck & Driver from 2018-2022 and is currently Editor at Large for the title along with hosting the Truck & Driver Podcast. He regularly puts trucks into service for a week with operators to test them in real world conditions. His other passion is his General Motors car-orientated YouTube channel Once Driven, Forever Smitten.

Chris Tindall started writing for the haulage industry in 2002 and quickly realised there was enough going on to keep him busy for a very long time. He’s covered a broad range of significant issues, including GPS jamming by criminals, platooning, Brexit and the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the lack of safe and secure lorry parks and he helped secure the release of a lorry driver in a Polish jail due to misuse of the European Arrest Warrant.

A journalist all my working life, my first job was on a local daily paper in Surrey back in the 1970s. I subsequently moved to London, then Bath, then Peterborough, working for and editing a wide variety of business-to-business publications. I started writing about the road transport industry some 40 years ago and became a freelance journalist over 30 years ago. I now live in rural Herefordshire – home of sheep, cider, and some of the biggest potholes in the country.
